The Honors Residential Academic Program (Honors RAP) is open to all honors-qualified students (academic top 10% of incoming class; 3.3 GPA for continuing students). Please note, only honors qualified students are assigned for housing in Smith Hall.
Incoming honors-qualified students with majors in the College of Arts & Sciences receive a Welcome Letter from the Honors Program inviting them to participate in the Honors Program. Interested students in other colleges are welcome and require a manual review from the Honors Program (firstname.lastname@example.org). Being in the Honors Program qualifies you to join the Honors RAP; a separate Honors RAP application is not required.
It is strongly recommended those incoming first-year students (and their parents) who are interested in the Honors RAP read Honors RAP FAQs and Honors Program Admissions FAQs. It’s a great primer on how to get involved.
Once you confirm your attendance to CU Boulder, students must complete their online Housing application (which requires a $300 non-refundable security deposit, subject to change) and identify the Honors RAP as your first choice of community and Smith Hall as your first choice of Halls as early as possible to ensure your best chance for being assigned to be part of our community. Admission to the program is determined by the receipt date of the housing request and is first-come, first served.
- please visit the Housing and Dining Services Housing Assignments page for general info on how to apply for on-campus housing
- For questions about housing and the housing application process, please contact Occupancy Management at 303-492-6673 or email@example.com.
- You will be notified by Housing (not the Honors RAP) of your housing placement in Honors RAP beginning in May 2013.
The Honors RAP program fee, as with all RAP program fees, is $850 for the academic year and subject to change. It is a one-time, non-refundable fee which covers the cost of in-residence instruction, academic enrichment through co-curricular activities, community-building events, and guest speakers. The RAP fee is in addition to tuition, fees, room & board and will be applied to the student’s fall semester bill.
Congratulations on your academic achievement and we look forward to seeing you in Fall 2013!
